Blueberry Smoothie Recipe - Smooth and Delicious!

This blueberry smoothie recipe will blow your socks off! Seriously! This drink is ideal to have for breakfast, as a snack, as a dessert, as a 'treat' or even to use as a fabulous glycogen restoring sports drink!

My sister is actually the one to discover this amazing combination, I have to give the credit to her for this one. We had been using the same recipe (we called it our 'special' coffee), just without the blueberries, and were totally MAD about it, but the addition of the blueberries is truly an amazing treat.

Blueberry Smoothie Recipe: Ingredients:

  • 1 x Fresh Coconut Water
  • 5 x Fresh Dates
  • 1 x Cup Frozen Blueberries

Blueberry Smoothie Recipe: Method:

Open the coconut and pour out the coconut water into the blender jug. Add the dates and frozen blueberries and blend until smooth!

Serves 1

Enjoy this AMAZING drink!

You can also drink this without blueberries, which is like a date 'coffee'. Another awesome drink is to just blend dates with water, this is commonly known as 'dateorade' and is totally fabulous! We drink dateorade every morning during our super intense Insanity workout! It replenishes those glycogen stocks and keeps you feeling amazing.

We prefer to mix the dates with water for our workout 'dateorade' as the coconut water gives it a much richer more luxuriant taste and feel, which isn't as well suited to your workout and feels more like a meal than a sports drink.

So try some dateorade next time you're working out, just blend 4 -6 dates with about 500ml of water.

And definitely try this AMAZING blueberry smoothie or a rich date 'coffee' by blending 4 -6 dates with coconut water from one coconut. You'll thank me, I promise you will!
