This chocolate peanut butter smoothie is a lovely twist on a simple banana smoothie recipe and is great as a meal on its own or even as a dessert!
Remember to choose a natural peanut butter that contains ONLY peanuts (preferably raw of course) but certainly no added oils, sugar or salt. Otherwise, use another nut butter such as almond butter that you can get raw with no additives.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie: Ingredients:
4x Bananas (previously peeled, broken into quarters and frozen)
1x Tablespoon cacao or carob powder
2x Tablespoons peanut butter
1x cup water or coconut water
Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie: Method:
Place the coconut water or water, nut butter and chocolate powder into the blender and blend until well mixed. Then add the frozen bananas, and using the stick attachment to the blender, push the bananas onto the blades and blend until thick.
If you don't have a stick attachment then just pulse the blender until the bananas are well blended.
Serves 1 - 2

Blenders!
My favorite blender is definitely a Vitamix. After years of burning out cheaper models every few months, I finally wised up and made the investment. And now a few years later I am still smiling, still using my original Vitamix and it works just as well as it did on the first day. For making amazing pates, raw soups and salad dressings and all manner of raw food recipes a Vitamix is the perfect kitchen appliance. It's also a breeze to make fruit dessert recipes, chocolate desserts and other easy healthy recipes!
