Green Smoothies

Green Smoothies are a bit of a twist on the traditional idea of what can go into fruit smoothie recipes. It requires a small paradigm shift but once you try it you'll love it!They are amazingly healthy and a fantastic way to get your greens in. Since green vegetables are very neutral tasting, the flavors of the fruit overwhelm the flavors of the greens. If you are having a hard time imagining yourself drinking blended greens, then start small. Just add a few leaves of lettuce or spinach to a fruit smoothie and gradually build it up. It is definitely a worthwhile thing to get into, as green vegetables are extremely high in micronutrients and offer fantastic protection against disease. Green Smoothie Recipe Ingredients: 1 pound spinach 1x large mango 3x peeled bananas 1x apple
Blend until smooth and creamy. Serves 1-2 Simple Green Smoothie Recipes Galore! For really simple smoothies you can choose any one (or two) type of fruit and blend with any one type of tender green, such as celery, baby spinach or lettuce. For example: Recipe 1 5x mangoes 1x head of romaine Recipe 2 6x peeled ripe bananas 200g baby spinach Recipe 3 500mlx fresh squeezed orange juice 2x large mangoes 4x stalks celery Blended up in the vitamix, all these recipes are delicious. I tend not to add any water to my smoothies these days, but if you prefer them a little less thick, then add a cup of water to the blend.
