Banana Strawberry Smoothie: Double Thick Strawberry Banana Shake

This banana strawberry smoothie is a long time favorite.
I either use frozen bananas and fresh strawberries, or unfrozen bananas and frozen strawberries.
With frozen bananas it makes a very thick ice cream like consistency, and with unfrozen bananas and frozen strawberries it is more like a drinking yogurt consistency, (and actually tastes very much like a strawberry flavored drinking yogurt that I used to drink back in the day).
Banana Strawberry Smoothie: Ingredients:
250g Strawberries
6x bananas (peeled and pre-frozen)
5x fresh dates
Banana Strawberry Smoothie: Method:
Blend the strawberries and dates in your blender first. Do not add any water. Then slowly add your frozen bananas and blend in gradually until all six have been blended.
Serves 1-2
If you wanted to serve this as ice-cream, just add a couple more frozen bananas and serve in bowls with strawberry sauce (blended strawberries) and some sliced banana.
