I was so excited when Freelee released her long awaited ebook - Go Fruit Yourself. First off, what a totally awesome title.
I was thrilled to receive a copy of Go Fruit Yourself the day it was released (she kindly sent me one just as I was about to eagerly hit the 'buy now' button on her page!). I devoured the book the very same day, in (almost) one sitting. In fact as I was sitting at my computer reading it, entirely mesmerised, I suddenly realized: hang on a minute, it's been a good few hours since my last meal, I'm busy reading about how important it is to eat enough, to literally GO FRUIT YOURSELF, while I'm damn hungry!
So on that note, I took a short break, got myself a large smoothie and came back for the finish.
Ever since then (and it's only been a couple of weeks) I've been dying to get a chance to put up a review and encourage you to buy a copy of Go Fruit Yourself. This is a great ebook and since its release it has been FLYING off the shelves (metaphorically speaking - since it's an Ebook). So much good stuff in there – people are loving it!
"I felt like I didn't want to live anymore. I gained all the weight back and really started to question everything. I was suffering from a systemic candida overgrowth which contributed to the acne I had on my face, chest and shoulders. I had chronic digestive problems so bad that it impacted my social life. Some days I didn't have the energy to get out of bed...."
Freelee has been a high carb raw vegan for several years now – piling in the fruit each day and loving her life. She has featured on this site in the before/after section and is also soon to be featured in my up and coming ebook on weight loss. Freelee was once the ultimate dieter, restricting her calories and over-exercising her way into highly disordered habits and ill health.
When she first got started with raw, she made a HEAP of mistakes. After a period of severe bingeing resulting in severe weight gain, she decided to give up the struggle. For the first time she truly began nourishing her body, eating 3000 or more calories from fruit each day and consequently found herself in the best body of her life, with the best skin of her life, and living an ideal life in a tropical paradise.
Luckily for all her readers, she recorded her first 30 days on raw foods in a series of blog entries. She has published these blogs, dating back to 2006, here for the first time. And along with the blog entries, she has included her full commentary and critique, highlighting EXACTLY where and why she went wrong and what she had to change in order to succeed.
A Damn Good Read
As someone who has read a whole lot, experimented a whole lot and built up a heap of knowledge myself, I didn't really expect to learn as much as I did from Go Fruit Yourself, I knew I'd have a good read - and my expectations were met and exceeded – but I also learned a shitload. I saw myself and my own past behavior patterns SO clearly in Freelee. I am pretty sure there isn't a women out there that wouldn't relate to a whole lot of what she talks about.
There are many really excellent observations in Go Fruit Yourself. From the most inexperienced newbie to the most seasoned long-termer I think there is plenty in this ebook for us all to enjoy.
Her blog entries flow through the book along with loads of great advice and personal insights and chapters on important success techniques such as visualisation and vision booking. You also get examples of her typical daily menus (with pics, actually there are loads of awesome pics in the book!) and bonuses like a seven day food guide for both summer and winter.
An easy, fun 'how to' for people on how to succeed
There is also LOTS of positive reinforcement and encouragement. I LOVE how it is such an easy, fun 'how to' for people on how to succeed, including all the very common pitfalls, which anyone who has spent any time trying to succeed on this lifestyle will recognize (and enjoy reading about!).
What is also wonderful about this book is how clear and unambiguous it is. You will NOT finish this book feeling confused about how to move forward, I guarantee it! There is nothing wishy-washy about anything she says. You get very clear instructions and no ambiguity whatsoever.
If you're a raw enthusiast of pretty much any description, you'll lap this up. However, there are a few people in the world who probably shouldn't buy this book. So here's my list of the should have's and shouldn't haves.
