Kiwi Recipes, hmmm, I've never really used kiwi fruits for actual recipes before.
I usually never get much further than chopping them up and putting them in my mouth! I've always been a big fan of just eating them on their own.
Until I tried this awesome kiwi smoothie recipe, just two ingredients and they go together extremely well to create this wonderfully exotic drink!
But before we get to the recipe, let's get down to some basics about preparing and eating kiwi fruit.
How To Prepare A Kiwi
Kiwi fruits have quite a strange looking brown skin. When they are ripe and ready to eat they should be firm, yet with a little bit of yield. If they are too soft, they are overripe. They should feel firm yet yield a little when pressed, similar to a tomato.
To prepare, simply slice off each end of the kiwi, and then using a knife just peel all the skin.
Then slice them horizontally.
HowTo Eat A Kiwi
When you're not using them for kiwi fruit recipes, Just pop those horizontal slices into your mouth and enjoy! The whole fruit, minus the skin is all great to eat.

Blenders!
You'll need a powerful blender like a Vitamix if you're planning to get into awesome raw food recipes. The most versatile piece of equipment in our kitchen, we use our two Vitamixes daily and after years of use they're still in perfect condition. You can use a cheaper blender for sure, but it's not nearly as much fun as a Vitamix!
