The Rave Diet - Eating Documentary takes us back to before 1900 and explains the eating habits of our ancestors. It describes how heart disease was not even in any medical journals before 1900!
Meat was only really the food of the rich. The average family could not afford to eat meat regularly as we do today. Their diets consisted mainly of plant based foods. Meat was a luxury item. What happened after was the single biggest factor that caused a massive change in our health and well being. We switched to an animal based diet.
The relative price of meat has really dropped in the twentieth century. Thanks to massive government subsidies, meat and dairy became affordable to the average person. Add a little capitalist efficiency and what we have today is gigantic fast food industries in combination with ‘healthy’ food options, all containing some form of meat or dairy, most likely both.
Anyone with a spare dollar can afford to get a hamburger!
This has resulted in a population of overweight and unhealthy people. Children with diabetes and heart disease! Eating explains how we are all on the way to an early grave! 40% of the population will get cancer. 50% of us will die from heart disease. This is totally unnecessary!

The Rave Diet - Eating Documentary points out that these illnesses are not at all isolated to advanced western countries like the United States, as soon as a group of people from any part of the world adopt similar eating habits, they will get the very same diseases.
What The Rave Diet - Eating Documentary makes clear is this: of paramount importance to the human body is blood flow.
The Rave Diet - Eating Documentary makes a point to explain that the cholesterol, fat and even vegetable oils that we eat clog up our arteries and blood vessels, severely restricting blood flow which is stated to be the underlying cause of a host of diseases and problems.
This makes sense, as our blood transports the fuel our body relies on to survive! If the flow is restricted it will put a constant strain on the whole system, resulting in everything from bad skin to heart attacks.
These clogged up arteries and blood vessels are the most common causes of death and disease in all countries that live on an animal based diet. Clogged arteries and blood vessels are mainly due to the consumption of cholesterol.
The only source of cholesterol in the human diet comes from eating meat, chicken, fish or any other animal based food. Most people eating an animal based diet are at more risk of dying from issues related to cholesterol and reduced blood flow than all other possible factors combined.
The Rave Diet - Eating Documentary - Dr. Joseph Crowe
The first personal account in The Rave Diet - Eating Documentary comes from Dr. Joseph Crowe, a Medical doctor now working at the renowned Cleveland Clinic.
Dr Crowe suffered from a heart attack at the age of 44, even though his cholesterol was at 152mg/dL!
He had no family history of heart disease, was not obese, and ate what he describes as a normal diet with meat every other day. Despite not being an obvious case for heart problems he still suffered from a heart attack.
Dr. Crowe survived this heart attack and under the guidance of Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn managed to reduce his cholesterol to less than 90mg/dL with diet alone.
The Rave Diet - Eating Documentary shows a scan of Dr. Crowe’s arteries before his diet change and one after.
The change is dramatic, the before scan shows a sickly thin artery and the after scan shows a thriving healthy blood flow. Dr. Crowe himself testifies that all this was completed with diet and exercise alone.
Dr. Crowe’s documented story is also featured in Dr. T Colin Campbell’s book, The China Study. Even though Dr. Campbell does not explicitly mention his name the story matches up word for word.
The Rave Diet - Eating Documentary - Dr. Neal Pinckney
Dr. Pinckney story is even more amazing.
Most of Dr. Neal Pinckney’s arteries were 80% or more blocked.
His cardiologists recommended immediate surgery to survive. However, Dr Pinckney decided to try less extreme methods of curing his disease. He just wasn’t prepared to let a person, even a surgeon, clamp open his ribcage and slice open his heart. A very invasive and extraordinary procedure that has become normal!
Dr Pinckney, like Dr Joseph Crowe, thought that items like skinless chicken breast, fish etc were healthy foods. Imagine his surprise when he found out that chicken contains pretty much the same cholesterol content as red meat, and that shell fish actually contains five times more cholesterol than red meat!
3 ounces of steak has 75 mg cholesterol, 3 ounces of white meat (such as skinless chicken) has 72 mg cholesterol. Effectively NO difference.
Now Dr Pinckneys’ diet is entirely plant based. He keeps his fat intake to less than 10% of his total calories. (Sound familiar? If you've read other sections of this website then you'll know that we strongly advocate a low fat (less than 10% of calories from fat) diet on this website, and love The 80/10/10 Diet by Dr Douglas Graham which is a raw vegan way of eating according to these percentages, with 10% or less calories coming from fat, 10% or less calories coming from protein and 80% or more calories coming from carbohydrates).
This eating plan, along with exercise cured Dr Pinckney of heart disease!
Dr Pinckney went from a frail old man, hardly able to walk to running marathons and feeling like a young man again; all without any medications at all.
Dr Pinckney’s angina pain was gone after two weeks. After just two months he was running races, he now has no allergies and says he feels better overall than he has since childhood! Dr Pinckney emphasises the fact that for him it was a full lifestyle change, and it really does require just that to really get the benefits. A 100% plant based low fat diet with exercise is required.

The next person interviewed is Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn who has been personally credited for former US President, Bill Clintons’ amazing change in cardiac health.
Dr Esselstyn states that if you follow the American heart foundations guidelines, your diet will actually promote heart disease. |
The government guidelines that recommend 30% of your calories come from fats will severely increase your risk of heart disease.
Dr Caldwell Esselstyn makes it very clear that even a moderate consumption of meat is just not going to work.
It will simply promote the advance of heart disease and cancer. He states that it is like pouring a little gasoline on to a fire as opposed to a barrel. The fire will not stop burning.
Dr Esselstyn's view is that information about the effects of diet on health and disease is empowering to the patient.
The power is now in the patients hands! He has the ability to cure himself, and does not have to rely on the medical industry.
The mainstream medical industry recommends a cholesterol count under 200.
However, most heart attacks occur in the cholesterol bracket of 150-200.
Therefore it is necessary to reduce your cholesterol to far below the 150 mg/dL mark. The only way to do that without dangerous medication is to eat truly healthy food, being fruit and vegetables.
The Rave Diet - Eating Documentary rightly points out that it is cheaper to eat plants. The plant based diet costs less every time, especially when you realise how much money a person will save on health related issues. The Medical industry is expensive, very expensive. Never mind just plain dangerous.
The Rave Diet - Eating Documentary - The Corruption Industry
There is a nasty circle of profit that goes on between politics and private enterprise. The politicians get huge campaign contributions from food lobbyists. Once the politicians attain power, they will promote policies that are suited to the people that helped them gain office.
This happens not only with the food industry, but occurs anytime one interest group gets a politician in their pocket - more on this later....

The reason why the medical industry states that the cure for cancer is just around the corner or any other nonsense is because the cure that actually works requires no doctors or medication!
Cancer is the 2nd most prevalent cause of death in western society today, after heart disease. A weakened immune system is credited as being the main cause of cancer.
By the age of fifty nearly ALL Americans will have some form of cancer growing in their bodies.
The Rave Diet - Eating Documentary highlights the fact that plant foods have properties that strengthen the immune system and the immune system is what heals the body of cancer.
Animal based foods weaken the immune system. It is that simple.
Treating disease is more profitable than prevention. Mike Anderson states: if a drug could do what fruit and veggies do then everyone would be taking that drug!
The Rave Diet - Eating Documentary - Dr. Ruth Heidrich

Dr. Heidrich was diagnosed with breast cancer in her 40's. She considered herself healthy, she ate better than anyone she knew, did lots of exercise (she was a marathoner). She felt fine, she looked good, YET she was diagnosed with cancer.
After undergoing surgery to remove her breast, she was advised to undergo chemotherapy and radiation in order to kill off the cancer cells that had spread throughout her body. |
However, she had a strong intuition that there must be a better way. So she went for a second opinion and then a third and then a fourth and then a fifth until finally she found Dr. John McDougall, who told her in no uncertain terms that it was her diet that had promoted the breast cancer, even though in her own opinion she was eating the healthiest diet she could possibly eat, i.e. skim milk, no red meat, only grilled chicken and fish and all the other recommendations for a ‘healthy’ balanced diet.

She just had to provide the right nutritional environment for her immune system to function as it should.

Breast cancer is linked to estrogen. The higher the levels of estrogen, then more chance of getting cancer. The issue of increased exposure to estrogen arises in a very common way.
Animal eating societies experience puberty at about the age of twelve. Plant eating societies experience puberty at around seventeen. Furthermore, animal eating societies experience menopause an average of four years later than plant eating societies. That’s an extra nine years of hormones, hence the increased estrogen and likelihood of cancer.
The Male equivalent, testosterone is similarly linked to prostate cancer. The early onset of puberty is seen as an achievement in many families. Parents are proud of their fast developing children, but this has a negative effect on their health. Humans are being over exposed to estrogen and testosterone, an event that is associated with the consumption of animal protein.

The Rave Diet - Eating Documentary - Protein Brainwashing
The Rave Diet - Eating Documentary explains that even if you just ate potatoes, you would get enough protein.
It’s a fact that many vegetables actually have higher protein content than red meat. The human need for protein is only 5% of our diet! and this is easily satisfied by eating plant based foods. In fact on a 100% plant based diet there is literally no combination of foods that would result in less protein than you required, provided you ate enough calories for your needs.
The only people in the world suffering from protein deficiency are those who are literally starving. Their lack of calorie intake leads to their deficiency in protein as well as their deficiency in everything else! So considering the comparative heftiness and well fed status of western societies, what on earth are we spending time worrying about something that would only happen if we were starving?

Carl Lewis is an example of a famous athlete that has used a plant based diet for increased athletic success. He experienced his best athletic year when he changed his diet.
Men generally associate meat eating with virility, power and other masculine attributes. Whereas the real result is quite the opposite. The resulting loss of blood flow means that most men lose their sex drive and many lose the ability to achieve an erection at all. Therefore the result of an animal based diet is impotence, not virility!
The Rave Diet - Eating Documentary - Calcium Brainwashing
Another requirement that is grossly exagerrated by advertising and food industries is the need for Calcium.
Of course we do need calcium, but on ANY natural diet, you will automatically be getting enough calcium. In fact calcium deficiency of a dietary origin is not only unheard of, there is not one recorded case of this throughout human history!
So why then does the dairy industry constantly tell us that calcium deficiency is common, and surprise surprise, we need more DAIRY to correct this! Kind of obvious isn't it! PROFITS!
Why is it that the United States consumes the most calcium in the world but has the most osteoporosis in the world?
Dairy lobbyists are the ones who get to set our recommended daily calcium requirements! Dairy officials pay off politicians and bureaucrats. Milk is given to our kids in schools as per government advocated procedure. It is recommended to us by many dieticians and doctors alike.
But upon closer inspection and reasoning it becomes apparent that the only milk we ever needed was our mother’s milk, and only when we were babies.
Mike Anderson and Dr Heidrich emphasise that bones act like muscles. They get stronger under stress. Lack of exercise and a sedentary lifestyle that is standard among many western women will promote osteoporosis. Societies where women eat plant based diets and perform manual labour experience hardly any cases of osteoporosis.
If you'd like to approach your middle and old age free from osteoporosis, do yourself a favor and stay the heck away from dairy products! The acidity of the animal protein in the milk causes your body to leech calcium from its stores (your bones) to neutralize the acidity. So even though you're packing in all this 'supposed' calcium, you're ending up with a negative balance! Get your calcium from plants, and don't even worry about it!
Another fun fact is that a glass of milk is equal to 21 slices of bacon!
Milk is also known as liquid meat, as it contains just as much fat and cholesterol as red meat!
The Rave Diet - Eating Documentary - Why is Meat so Cheap? (It’s actually not)
One third of all raw materials and fossil fuels are consumed in the raising of animals for human consumption.
You could drive a car many miles on the amount of fuel used to make just one hamburger! This is because hamburger is actually one of the most resource intensive foods on the planet. How is it possible that this very expensive product still remains cheaper than a bag of raspberries? Politics.
Politicians subsidise animal food industries in exchange for campaign financing.
Beef would cost 90 U.S dollars a pound if not for subsidies.
The meat and dairy industry set the guidelines and regulations through various lobby groups. The industry spends 30 billion a year on advertising meat and dairy. They spend 30 million per year advertising fruit and vegetables.
Between government guidelines and advertising we eat like trained animals! We are exposed to 100 000 food adverts a year!
Animal food industries fight tooth and nail for every subsidy they can get. They receive billions in subsidies and billions in profit. The public faces higher taxes, diseases, disability, high health care costs and death. It is a vicious and foolish cycle that only becomes noticeable when we get the real information.
The RAVE Diet
The Rave Diet - Eating Documentary recommends that we start gradually replacing meat in our diets. It need not be an overnight change, though it can be. Simply eat the old fashioned way, meaning only eat animal foods once in a while and eat mostly plant based foods.
Make no mistake though, the healthiest way to eat is a 100% plant based diet. Whether you choose to get the bulk of your calories from raw fruits and vegetables (like us Fruit Bats at Loving-It-Raw.Com) or whether you choose to get the bulk of your calories from potatoes, rice and vegetables, this is entirely up to you. The important part is to cut the animal foods, cut the fat to less than 10% of your total caloric intake and cut the refined foods and oils out completely!
According to The Rave Diet - Eating Documentary the problem with the term vegan is that it does not define what good foods to eat, it only describes the avoidance of all animal products. I'm sure everyone has heard of the sickly vegan who lives on soda and french fries.
Therefore Mike Anderson has come up with his own term based on the findings of scientists and doctors at the forefront of nutritional research. It is the RAVE DIET.

The Rave Diet - Eating Documentary - The Effects of an Animal Based Diet on the Environment.
More food is used to feed animals than to feed ourselves.
87% of all agricultural land is used for raising and feeding the animals we eat.
Factory farmed cattle, swine and chicken do not walk the fields eating grass and such like. They eat the same agricultural produce we eat, and various other items including their brethren and some seafood.
The environmental damage done by the animal farming industry is colossal.
One acre of forest and jungle is cleared for livestock production every 8 seconds.
Half of our fresh water supply is used to raise animals. It takes twelve thousand gallons of water to produce one pound of beef as compared to sixty gallons of water for one pound of potatoes.
In some areas, so much water has been diverted from the rivers feeding hydroelectric dams that they have had to build nuclear power plants.
Animal excrement is a further major cause of pollution. Farm animals produce 130 times more waste than humans, and unlike us they don't have any waste management systems.
No sewage systems at all. So we have the animal’s literally walking knee deep in shit, all the time. This excrement gets rained away into our rivers and water system. The river life dies out from this pollution and where the rivers meet the ocean the water life dies out there too.
The results we have from this include E. Coli, salmonella and listeria.
The labels on meat products tell us in no uncertain terms that we are to keep meat separate from all other foods. Items have to be cooked to certain temperatures in order to kill the germs. The germs are there because the farm animals are actually covered in virus filled excrement most of their lives.
Why is it that we hear of people getting some of these viruses from vegetables? Because in many cases the water used to produce plant foods has been pre-contaminated with animal excrement from the bloody animal factory up stream. Raw animal sewage on your vegetables. Great.
If you’re worried about the oceans and overfishing having disastrous implications on marine life, then you’ll be pleased to know that by switching to a plant based diet you really will make a positive impact. This is because half of the fish caught go into feeding our livestock.
Other species that are being killed to extinction by livestock farms range from porcupines to Timberwolves, with billions of innocents in between.
The Rave Diet - Eating Documentary - Animal cruelty
It is common among meat and health inspectors to say that the less a consumer knows about his meat before it hits his plate the better.
Many meat inspectors are so disgusted by the treatment of animals that they do not allow the end products in their homes.
Animals are no longer sentient beings. Today animals are machines, to be used efficiently for economic gain.
Unfortunately what efficiency means is that they are kept in appalling conditions and treated like pain and suffering is a prerequisite for tasty meat. Animals are packed tight together, leg deep in their own faeces.
The abuse is so bad that 98% of ALL animal cruelty takes place within the meat and dairy industry.
If you love your pets and love animals, if you abhor animal cruelty, then stop eating meat and dairy. It is the single greatest thing a person can do to end the suffering.
Dairy farming seems like it can’t be that bad right?. They just get milk from the cows, right? Well until a few years ago, I, like many other people just assumed that cows produce milk all the time. Somehow, I never thought that they had to be constantly impregnated (raped!) to produce milk. I never knew that they are so physically exhausted after about seven years from the constant pregnancy and milk producing that they are then slaughtered and turned into hamburgers, steaks and leather (their normal lifespan is about twenty years) that their calves are taken away from them at birth to suffer the same fate if they are female, or kept chained down in a dark room and quickly killed for veal if they are male.
People in the know say that there is nothing quite as bone chilling as the screams of a mother as her calf is taken away from her. She screams and cries for days. As compassionate people, how can we be a part of this?
Many people assume humans are the only ones who are able to think. That emotion is a human trait. That everything to do with feeling and awareness is decidedly human.
Animals have eyes, legs, hearts, stomachs, a nervous system and brain just the same as we do. Their hearts work just the same as ours, so do their legs and their stomachs etc. Why would their brains not work in the same manner as humans?
When a mother of any species has her offspring forcefully taken away at birth, that mother will suffer unimaginable anguish. It is time for people to awaken to our idea of being ‘humane’.
The most violent, vile animal on earth will stand utterly defeated by the acts of cruelty committed by humans calling themselves ‘good people’. However, we are also capable of vast amounts of kindness! We just have to put our heads and our hearts together when it comes to deciding what will make up our dinner.
The sheer volume of animals killed in slaughter houses around the world, and the demand for meat means that animals are not humanely slaughtered (that is the mother of all oxymorons).
The speed required to ‘efficiently’ process a live animal into a piece of meat results in animals being literally cut apart while still fully conscious and screaming. Imagine the worst horror film you have ever watched and think about what it would mean if this happened every second of every day. Now go further and think what it means if you were actively condoning such an atrocity, that you were actually consuming the end result of such actions?
All animals commercially produced suffer their whole lives in this real life horror movie that takes place just out of sight. Out of sight, out of mind? Auschwitz was also out of sight.
Is it any wonder that slaugherhouse workers are the most unhappy of any profession? Not to mention that they are mostly illegal workers and/or extremely desperate. This is a necessary requirement, since no one else would do what they are compelled to for a wage. The highest suicide rates of any profession is proudly held by this death industry.

Mike Anderson tells us that most drugs and antibiotics used today are not used on humans! It all goes to the animals. That’s not so hard to believe once you compare numbers: six billion humans versus 50 billion factory animals, all with a shorter lifespan too.
Remember the living conditions? The faeces? The unbelievably tight quarters, animals so tightly packed that they can't even stand or flap their wings? Its doesn’t take a genius to realise that any disease will travel through such conditions like wild fire. Thus the animals are given antibiotics as if it were part of their diet.
Penicillin is now only 18% as effective as it once was. In the last few decades, 75% of all new infectious diseases come from animal origins.
An animal based diet uses massive amounts of energy and resources, destroys species, pollutes both our atmosphere and water, uses our fresh water, destroys the environment, kills trillions of animals, and kills humans. Then they kill and torture millions more animals to find pharmaceutical cures for the problems we have given ourselves.
This is insanity.
