Raw Food Diet - 30 Day 'No Fat' Trial - Day 12
Today is day 12 and going strong on my raw food diet ‘no fat’ trial. Weight My weight was 123.6 pounds as of this morning, which brings my total weight loss to 1.4 pounds for this raw food diet trial so far. I am disappointed that it is still higher than it was on
Day 10
but I am definitely still feeling heavier and my stomach is still swollen. I don’t have any other symptoms though, but I reckon this is PMS. Exercise I slept in till 7 this morning and then hit the gym with Jaye and my sister. We did a very hectic workout and rode our bicycles there and back so it was lots of fun. Jaye finished his workout before me so he came over to spot me on some of the exercises which was fantastic as I could work to complete failure. I did squats on the smith machine until I fell down. We did leg press, squats, lunges, squat and shoulder press dumbbell combinations, leg extensions, pushups, planks, V-Situps, jumping lunges and box jumps. My heart rate was sitting between 150 and 190 the entire time, even between sets as I kept the rest breaks very short. We also did 20 minutes on the stair climber. Cravings I definitely crave things when I am hungry. If I just eat, I am fine. Like I could have sold my granny for some wholewheat bread and veggie polony earlier on, but now that I’ve just had a big meal, you couldn’t pay me to eat it. So it is all about eating enough to be successful on the low fat raw food diet, especially in the transition stage. Food I had a lovely fruit salad for breakfast with just 4x bananas (460g) and 2x mangos (355g) and a sauce made from 1x mango (175g) and fresh blueberries (180g).
We were out shopping and got hungry so we stopped off at a restaurant and had a small fruit salad. Actually it was tiny. I was totally unsatisfied. But restaurants just have no idea about what constitutes a great salad. For the calorie/nutrient ratio I just found a generic fruit salad on fitday.com and used that.
For a late lunch we had a big salad that Jaye made. This was amazing! My portion contained 2x mangos, 1x cucumber, 50g lettuce and rocket, and a dressing made with 2x medium tomatoes, 1x red pepper and a pack of sundried tomatoes (no oil or salt).
For dinner I had a smoothie made with 2x peaches (180g), 3x bananas (340g) and a pack of strawberries (164g). It was so sweet and delicious. The peaches we got today are fantastic.
TotalsMy totals for today were as follows: Calories 2109, Fat 8.3g, Carbohydrates 516.6, Dietary Fiber 76.5, Protein 33g and Sodium 328mg. My percentage totals were as follows: Carbohydrates 91%, Protein 6%, Fat 3%
