Raw Food Diet - 30 Day 'No Fat' Trial - Day 13
On day 13 of my raw food diet trial. I had some cravings today for some dates stuffed with almonds that are deliciously sold at every supermarket here. The sugar and fat combo is very addictive. Weight Unfortunately my weight has not gone down, in fact it has gone up! It is now 124 pounds bringing my total weight loss for this raw food diet trial to 1 pound. These fluctuations are par for the course for me usually, but I guess because I am writing this down daily it feels frustrating to see the upward fluctuations. Hopefully it will begin to fluctuate downwards again soon. Exercise I did a very hard workout again this morning. I rode to gym and then did 20 minutes on the Arc Trainer, followed by pull ups, dips, roman chair abdominals, close grip lat pulldowns, wide grip lat pulldowns, seated rows, fly’s, shoulder press, rope tricep pushdown and bicep curls. I finished it off with a few handstands and then rode home again. I find my upper body workouts are less demanding on my cardiovascular fitness than the lower body, and my heart rate was between 130 and 160 throughout. Detox After my workout I just felt really tired, but it was a good tired, and I just rested for most of the day. I am feeling pretty good today. Other than the swollen stomach and weight gain, I have no other symptoms of PMS as yet. Food For breakfast I had a peach and banana smoothie that was absolutely heavenly, with 3x peaches (283g) and 4x bananas (482g).
For lunch I had a mango, tomato and celery soup that satisfied every craving I could ever have had. At that exact moment it was utterly perfect. It was made with 1x mango, 2x tomatoes and 2x stalks of celery, just blended up in the Vitamix. It tasted so spicy and was thick, creamy and fantastic.
For a snack I had 200g of strawberries followed by a banana, strawberry and blueberry smoothie containing 3x bananas (258g), a pack of strawberries (248g) and a pack of blueberries (117g).
For dinner I had most of a watermelon. Watermelon is one of my favorite fruits, it is so filling! If you think you need to eat something 'else' other than fruits and vegetables just eat most of a watermelon and then see if you still feel like something else.
ConclusionsMy totals for today were as follows: Calories 1634, Fat 8.5g, Carbohydrates 410.7g, Dietary Fiber 49.4g, Protein 28.2g and Sodium 109.9mg. Percentage totals were as follows: Carbohydrates 90%, Protein 6% and Fat 4%.
