Raw Food Diet - 30 Day 'No Fat' Trial - Day 18
Day 18 of my raw food diet no fat trial and yay it's the weekend for me! Weight My weight was down to 122.5 this morning, so total weight loss for this raw food diet trial is 2.5 pounds. PMS Well other than some very short instances of irritability and the weight fluctuations, there is no other sign of any PMS. I am once again feeling light and that heavy feeling only lasted a couple of days. This is enormously unusual ESPECIALLY in light of the fact that I am no longer using the natural progesterone cream that I was using before the trial. After my second water fast I thought that perhaps I wouldn't need the hormone cream anymore so went without it for a few weeks. My symptoms came back with SUCH a vengeance that I resolved never to do such a stupid thing again. The fact that I have barely any symptoms so far would seem to suggest that this low fat version of the raw food diet has already balanced things in my body, as quick as that! Well maybe it's still too early to say for sure, it is day 24 of my cycle, maybe there is still something coming. Greaseball Aish, my hair is quite a bit sleeker than I'd like. I am used to my hair being squeaky, washed to within an inch of its life, clean. Definitely gonna do a lemon juice wash. On the plus side my ends are no longer frizzy, in fact they are pretty sleek too! Food I took a green smoothie with an enormous head of romaine in (900g), 4x bananas (454g) and 200g blueberries.
For lunch I had 5x bananas (560g) and 6x dates.
When I got home I had a quick smoothie, and it was GROSS! I put some dates in and I think they weren’t too fresh, something tasted off about this whole smoothie, but I was hungry so I finished it anyway. When Jaye got home he made the most fantastic dinner. He put cauliflower in the food processor and turned it into cous cous! We had this with sundried tomatoes, baby tomatoes, celery and mango all diced up and mixed in with some coriander and lemon juice flavoring. It was absolutely the best dish we’ve had so far! Jaye also made this cucumber soup by blending cucumbers, orange, celery and corn. It is garnished with rocket. I was too full to eat it though and only managed my cous cous.
ConclusionsStill on a major upswing. Was very satisfied food wise, not hungry at all. My totals were as follows: Calories 1967, Fat 9.1g, Carbohydrates 487.9g, Dietary Fiber 78.9g, Protein 40g and Sodium 272.6mg. My percentage totals were: Carbohydrates 89%, Protein 7% and Fat 4%.
