Raw Food Diet - 30 Day 'No Fat' Trial - Day 2

Today was the second day of my raw food diet 'no fat' trial.

Weight

I weighed in this morning at 124.3 pounds. A loss of 0.7 pounds for this raw food diet trial so far!

Not bad for this early in the game!

Exercise

I woke up at 5:00am this morning and did 30 minutes on the treadmill at an incline of 15% at 5 kilometers per hour. Then I did some dumbbell shoulder press, bent arm lateral raises, tricep pushbacks and barbell bicep curls.

Raw Food Diet Trial: Food

I made a very similar green smoothie to yesterday, this one contained 227g cucumber, 240g Mango, 600g romaine lettuce, 534g banana, 230g Spinach, 150g blueberries.

I took along 150g of the Chocolate Orange Mousse pudding. I estimate that this portion of pudding had about 10 dates, 0.2 of pomegranate and a half a tablespoon of cocoa. I can't get the measurements exact on this but I think this is as close to correct as its possible to get.

By the way, all the dates I'm eating are fresh dates. I am not eating any dried fruit at the moment.

I had the first liter of smoothie when I arrived at the office at 8:30. By 11:30 I was really hungry again, so I had the second liter at noon. I ate the dessert at 2:30.

For dinner I had a second portion of 150g Chocolate Orange Mousse and a blueberry, banana smoothie made with 100g blueberries and 260g banana.

Cravings

I had serious cravings today. I could have killed for some fresh whole wheat bread with mustard and Fry's Veggie Polony! That led me to thinking of tofu and how much I LOVE tofu! Tofu on a big fresh burger bun!

I had some cravings last week too. I was dreaming of this dish we used to get from a restaurant nearby, buckwheat noodles with tofu, vegetables and a peanut sauce. Man that was good. I loved it. Can't say it loved me back though as my energy levels always plummeted after eating there.

More Exercise

I had lots of energy today and when I got home at 6:30 I decided to do a second workout. I did another 30 minutes on the treadmill, this time at a 13% incline and 5 kilometers per hour, swinging my arms very briskly and I followed that up with 3x10 pushups (the full version, no half hearted ladies version) 3x20 planks and 3x25 V-situps.

My stomach still wasn't right today. It was burbling away noisily, it still is actually!

I could have eaten more today. I felt like I could have had more food at work with me, and maybe that is also why I had cravings today. I'll take a bit more with me tomorrow.

Raw Food Diet Trial: Conclusions

My totals for today are as follows: Calories 1652, fat: 9g, carbohydrate: 410.7g, Protein: 30.7g.

Percentages for the raw food diet trial today were as follows: Carbohydrate 88%, Protein 7%, Fat 5%.
