Today is day 22 of my raw food diet trial and my weight is down again to 122.5 pounds
So my total weight loss is 2.5 pounds for this raw food diet trial so far. I am actually wondering about the accuracy of my scale with all these fluctuations. Sometimes they make sense and sometimes they just don't. However, this is the scale I've been using for the past year and it certainly cost enough, so I am just going to have to trust it.
Detox
I woke up this morning with a snotty nose, but after showering it was gone. I slept very deeply last night and felt like some good work was done. My tongue was slightly coated again this morning before brushing. It is amazing how many more detox symptoms I've been having just by cutting out the fat. I mean I was doing the raw food diet with added fats for 2 months before this no fat version and I didn't notice any detoxing at all! Amazing how much the higher fat percentage can hamper things.

Nails of steel
I trimmed my toenails this morning and it was like cutting through steel! Wow. I've got some super healthy toenails. Unfortunately I wouldn't know about my fingernails since I am a chronic nail biter. It is something I am going to have to conquer soon.
The Hair Detox
Well, I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't tried it myself, but after 8 days of no shampoo, my hair is getting CLEANER! I am wearing it loose today and it looks as if it's just been washed. It is just as wild and curly as ever and looks squeaky clean.
Things are definitely looking up.
Raw Food Diet Trial: Food
I had a green smoothie for breakfast made with 530g lettuce, 4x bananas (387g) and 2x dates. For a snack I had a celery and date salad (140g Celery, 4x dates). For lunch I had half a watermelon (1248g) and 6x dates.
For dinner I had a smoothie with 6x bananas (670g), 1x Pomegranate and 2x dates. It wasn't that nice. The bananas weren't properly frozen so it was a little thin and icky. I LOVE frozen bananas in smoothies as it comes out like ice cream, but when they're not frozen they gross me out a bit in smoothies - can eat them plain though!
For a second dinner I had an orange and red pepper soup made with 2x oranges, 1x red pepper, 2x tomatoes and 1x stalk celery.
Raw Food Diet Trial: Conclusions
My totals for today were as follows: Calories 2050, Fat 8.7g, Carbohydrates 517g, Dietary Fiber 64.6g, Protein 35.5g, Sodium 235.7mg.
My percentage totals were as follows: Carbohydrates 90% Protein 6% Fat 4%.
