Raw Food Diet - 30 Day 'No Fat' Trial - Day 23
Today is day 23 of my raw food diet trial and it seems that I'm enjoying it more and more as I go. The soup I had last night was the frikkin bomb. These no fat foods are so filling and delicious when you eat enough of them. I'm finding that during the day it’s best for me to eat a lot of sweet fruit as that is what I feel like. By the time I get home I have pretty much had enough of the sweet stuff and want something savory. That is why last night I didn't enjoy my smoothie at all; it was too sweet and just tasted ick. But the orange, red pepper and tomato soup with the celery was just AMAZING! It was EXACTLY what I wanted. So I am going to skip the sweet smoothies in the evenings from now on and just go straight to the soups. Weight My weight held steady at 122.5 this morning. I am hoping to at least get back to 122 before the end of this raw food diet trial, since that was where I was way back on
Day 10
before the fluctuations started. Detox When I was getting ready for bed last night I felt extremely hyper. It was like I'd had caffeine. Of course I hadn't had any kind of stimulant at all, so the feeling must have been a result of toxins on the way out. I was super wide-awake and a bit anxious, talking too fast, getting irritable. An hour and a half after going to bed I was still awake. When I fell asleep I slept deeply and didn't wake up until 6:20 this morning, before my alarm clock! Hair My hair looks good again today and I am wearing it loose. It seems to be strengthening at the roots. I can feel as I brush through, it is feeling thicker and stronger. My hair is super fine, fragile and flyaway usually, but now it seems to be losing this and becoming more solid. Digestion and Elimination I realized that I haven't posted an update on this for a while. That is because everything is so perfect, that there is nothing to report. Digestion is effortless and I don't know my stomach even exists and elimination is perfectly normal and regular, usually twice a day. Cravings I haven't had any cravings for a good few days now. As long as I get something savory tasting each day, like the delicious soups that Jaye makes, I am totally satisfied! Don't want salt, cooked food or fat! I want exactly what I am getting. How cool is that? PMS Absolutely no sign of either PMS or my period, and it is day 29 of my cycle. My cycle isn't dead regular, but it's pretty close and I usually have NO doubt about what is coming! If I hadn't kept track of the days of my cycle I would almost think there was nothing coming at all. I feel great! Exercise I did a short workout with some squats, lunges, pushups, sit-ups and butt crunches. It was fun! Food I had a whole watermelon for breakfast (2307g) and 4x bananas and 5x dates for lunch. So nice and simple. It was filling and satisfying.
For dinner I had a soup made with 1.5x red peppers, 3.5x oranges, 2x tomatoes and 1x stalk of celery. It was delicious!
ConclusionsThings are getting better and better as I continue in this raw food diet trial. I am enjoying it more and more. Emotionally I feel extremely stable and I am amazingly clear and focused. My totals were as follows: Calories 1530, Fat 6.7g, Carbohydrates 386.1g, Dietary Fiber 42.4g, Protein 28.2g, Sodium 76.9mg. My percentage totals were: Carbohydrates 90%, Protein 6%, Fat 4%
