It is day 25 of my raw food diet trial today and I weighed in at 122 pounds. Same as yesterday. Total weight loss for this raw food diet trial is therefore 3 pounds.
Detox
I had some major stuff going on with me last night. First of all I couldn't get to sleep. I only went to bed at 11:30 which was a little late as it was, and then I couldn't sleep! Jaye only got home at 1:30 in the morning as he was working late, and by the time he got home I woke up feeling very feverish and COVERED in sweat. That cold horrible night sweat feeling.
I felt exhausted yet still somehow wired! As if I was on something. I went back to sleep and when the alarm went off at 6:30 I felt quite predictably tired.
During the morning I felt fine, but by the afternoon I had a mild headache.
A fabulously good hair day
My hair feels AMAZING! There is no need for shampoo folks. It feels better after its lemon and cucumber wash than it feels after the most expensive salon shampoo! It is wonderfully clean and shiny and fantastic.
The China Study
This video is a talk by Dr T Colin Campbell where he discusses The China Study. Dr Campbell is a nutritional scientist and Professor Emeritus of Nutritional Biochemistry at Cornell University. He has been at the forefront of nutritional research for more than 40 years. I strongly recommend you read The China Study; it could very well save your life. This is a great presentation where he covers some of the material in the book.
Raw Food Diet Trial: Food
I've been feeling drawn to really simple stuff lately. I can't even be bothered to make a smoothie in the morning. So I just chopped a watermelon (2006g) and grabbed four bananas and I was off. What could be simpler? Unfortunately it wasn't quite enough and by 4pm I was starving.
When I got home I just had a quick banana. For dinner Jaye made a feast! Cauliflower and red pepper cous cous with a mango mushroom dressing! It was delicious!
That was followed by a mango tomato soup with some zucchini noodles.

My totals for today were as follows: Calories 1383, Fat 6.8g, Carbohydrates 347g, Dietary Fiber 36.4g, Protein 27.5g, Sodium 112.7mg.
My percentage totals were: Carbohydrates 90%, Protein 6% and Fat 4%.
