Raw Food Diet - 30 Day 'No Fat' Trial - Day 28

It's day 28 of my raw food diet no fat trial and my weight was down to 121 pounds this morning.

That makes my total weight loss 4 pounds.

I didn't go to work today. The pain was much reduced but still definitely there, and I was so worn out and worn down by the pain from yesterday and the nausea etc, that I felt I needed to stay home.

I am feeling much better now. My stomach is still quite swollen and it feels like there are some army ants having a mini war inside my stomach, uncomfortable but only mildly painful.

I have another pimple! Why Oh Why? This one is between my eyes and quite a nasty looking bugger. It better go soon. It isn't welcome here!

Raw Food Diet Trial: Food

I didn't have such a good eating day in terms of calories again. With me being sick this weekend and Jaye working most of the weekend we hadn't got to the shops so there wasn't much here at all, and what we had wasn't ripe.

It is a sad fact that most of the fruit sold isn't ripe, so you really have to plan ahead. I threw a whole watermelon away today as I cut it open and it was just disgusting. Not sweet at all and all hard and funny inside.

Yesterday Jaye was working the whole day at a big event and he hadn't taken any food with him as there wasn't anything ripe for him to take. So he had to make do with what was available in the press tent. There was a fancy shmancy spread laid out for them but of course not much was healthy. He ate some raw vegetables with hummus - not raw. It gave him a major stomach ache. So he wasn't too happy about it.

I don't know if it was the fact that it was cooked food that made him feel bad or if it was just the fact that they were probably quite liberally laced with oil and salt.

For breakfast I had some strawberries (420g) and 4x dates chopped up. A little later on I had another 4x dates and 12x lychees. In the late afternoon I had 4x medium oranges and 1x medium banana (not quite ripe but I was desperate). All this and I was only on the grand total of 749 calories. My appetite was back today so this wasn't nearly enough.

Thankfully Jaye came home with some food and made us a fantastic vegan lasagna. It was vegetables layered with sheets of untoasted nori and covered with a sundried tomato sauce. Delicious!!! I ate half of the tray pictured below. I will put the recipe up on the recipes pages soon.

Raw Food Diet Trial: Conclusions

Well not a terrible day, though it could have been better in terms of feeling good. I am so glad to have some relief from the pain of yesterday though!

My totals for today were as follows: Calories 1155, Fat 5.8g, Carbohydrates 279.7g, Dietary Fiber 50.8g, Protein 25.8g, Sodium 150.6mg.

My percentage totals were as follows: Carbohydrates 89%, Protein 7% and Fat 4%.
