What's on the raw food diet menu for the week? Jaye shows how much fruit and veg he bought to stock up for an active week.
To achieve raw food health, you must fuel yourself with enough raw vegan food.
You need to eat enough so that you have tons of energy for intensive exercise and so that you can fully thrive during times when you're eating an exclusively raw fruits and vegetables diet.
So what is 'enough'?
This depends on a number of factors and the best way to figure it out is to go onto nutridiary.com and check how many calories you need to maintain your current weight, then enter your intake for a couple of days to make sure you are eating enough.
It is harder to overeat on fruit and vegetables as they are much greater in volume yet lower in calorie than other foods, and many who are new to a raw vegan lifestyle tend to under-eat.
A rule of thumb is that active men should get at least 3000 calories a day, and active women at least 2500 calories to maintain their weight.
So how much fruit and veg does this translate to? Well, some heavy lifting in bringing it in from the car, I can tell you that much.
Jaye gives us a tour of approximately a weeks worth of fruit and vegetables for two raw vegans, living on fruits and vegetables exclusively.
