But let's start with food.

Humans are the only species in nature who cook their food!

No other animal in nature feels the need to add fire to their foods!

If nature has provided so well for every other living creature on this planet, why would we assume that she has not provided for us?

If we look to mother nature we find everything we need to know. Fruits and vegetables are our gift from nature and they come to us having been perfectly cooked by the sun. They require no further embellishment.

When we eat a diet that is aligned with nature's principles, then we begin to live our lives in a way that is aligned with our inner selves.

Raw Food Lifestyle - Expanded Spiritual Awareness

I believe that a part of the raw food lifestyle is an expanded spiritual awareness. Often as we begin to clean up our diets, we also begin to set our spirits free. We become so much more aware of the life force inside us and inside of every living creature.

We become so much more grateful and in tune with who we really are and this wondrous life that we are living.

Spiritual enlightenment and awakening is definitely an aspect of the raw food lifestyle, and many people report that beginning the raw journey was also the beginning of an ongoing spiritual awakening.

Raw Food Lifestyle - Compassion

Many people begin a raw food lifestyle for health reasons, but then find that a side effect of the lifestyle is that they begin to feel so much more compassion for other creatures. This compassion extends to other humans as well as to animals.

A new feeling of connectedness arises which allows us to FEEL the oneness that is underlying our physical bodies, and therefore we begin to explore deeper realms of empathy and compassion and a connection to others that we had not imagined before.

Becoming a vegan or raw vegan is just about the best thing you could possibly do to ensure the survival of our planet.

A vegan diet ensures that you are creating the LEAST impact possible and thus paving the way for a wonderful future.

Many find that the raw vegan lifestyle introduces them to the land for the what feels like the first time, as they connect with nature and start exploring gardening and sustainable practices such as permaculture.

The raw food lifestyle embraces all aspects of health. If you have a perfect diet, but do not exercise or ever get outdoors you will not be healthy.

The raw lifestyle is about becoming your best self in ALL areas.

Daily Exercise

Daily enjoyable exercise is essential. We are built for movement. The sedentary lifestyle isn't only unhealthy, it is also unfulfilling! We can do so much better!

Get outdoors and run, skip, jump, BREATHE! This is what our bodies were made to do.

Sunshine

Enjoy the sunshine. Vitamin D is absorbed through the action of sunlight on the skin.

Vitamin D is not absorbed when our skins are covered in sun block.

When you are eating a great diet, your tolerance for the sun increases, and you are able to spend more time outdoors without burning.

Get outside and sunbathe!

Water

Drink lots of water! Don't get too hung up about where you get your water, if you have only got access to tap water, then so be it. The MAIN thing is that you are properly hydrated.

The raw lifestyle is about proper hydration levels!

Sleep

It is essential to sleep enough! When you are involved in vigorous physical activity you need more sleep!

Humans originate in the tropics, where it is dark for 12 hours and light for 12 hours.

It makes sense to assume that in nature we would have slept for 12 hours a day.

This is ideal!

If you can't make time to sleep 12 hours a night, then try and hit at least 9 or 10. You'll feel so much better!
